This book provides the basis of the Teaching English Foreign Language Program for graduate teachers at Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, in Medellín. It brings together the theoretical and practical elements of classroom-based research and the articulation of both local and professional discourse and practice for English teachers. Such articulation takes place when in-service teachers decide to explore the realms of classroom research within the principles of both research and academic writing.

The book presents the foundations of the program and its research orientation. This is followed by sample papers in classroom-based research. The papers are contributions of former graduate students from various program cohorts.
